hplip-gui software package provides HP Linux Printing and Imaging - GUI utilities (Qt-based), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hplip-gui
hplip-gui is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hplip-gui package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hplip-gui *
You will get with hplip-gui package name, version, architecture and description in a table
